Another new guy here

Hey everybody. I just joined and figured I'd make a quick intro. I bought my silver cl-s 6 speed in Jan. 05 w/ just 3,600 mi. Currently has a little over 26,000 mi on it. Coming from a 95 Chevy 1500 this was a big step up in performance and comfort. Only problem so far has been the paint coming off the hood, but that's covered under warranty. Til now it has been completely stock except for tint, which was already on when I bought the car. I've had it a while now and the newness and excitement has faded. Coming soon are comptech headers and a stereo upgrade. Soon after I'll work on suspension. Not sure yet, but I'm thinking about h&r sports and maybe konis. Well, that's all for now. Thanks for reading.

dam didn't think there were that many 6 speeds out there, specially when i see atleast 1 or 2 evry week in salvage auctions. BTW how sure are we that there were only 35xx 6 speeds made. from the looks of things it seems like there were a lot more.

No, since the car was originally $30k+ the original owners of these cars were older, therefore less computer knowledgeable and now that the car has dropped to sub $15k prices, a lot of younger, mod-happy people are starting to join the forum.

Pretty sure... No one has been able to dispute the data that Hohlake provided.

They only made 16,xxx CL's in 2003, so the percentage of 6spd to overall production seems about right too (around 20%).

I just think that alot of the original 6spd owners have decided to move on to other cars, so there are alot of 6spds on the market...

Porsche made only 3540 1995 993 C2 Coupes, but I see them forsale all the time... Finding a specific int/ext color combination with low mileage is another story.

I've always laughed at people who say that's it's hard to find a CLS 6spd. I can usually find at least 1/2 dozen of 'em within 2-300 miles of me (there's 7 now within 300 miles of me on autotrader). Just cause they are a bunch of 'em for sale, doesn't mean there are alot of 'em out there...
