Another Mustang - GT 5spd

Alright, here's another stang story that happened Saturday - I just never got around to posting anything about it.

Black new style GT stang comes zooming out from an on ramp and gets over two lanes and is beside me. Def had an exhaust, and is a 5spd. He zooms over infront of me and punches it, as do I. He's def walking away at a steady pace, but I was supprised that he wasn't pulling away that fast. Prob a car length per 15mph. He slows down at 115 and is suprised to see me still behind him and jumps over a lane to get out around this slow car. The car gets over as he notices me pulling up on him and I'm beside the stang again, this time at 70 or so mph. We both punched it again, and I jumped ahead of him until his rpms got a lil higher and he started walking away again. I really didn't expect to even hang with him, I just wanted to see how close I was.

Now I need some damn mods.

Lol yea...I couldn't see him at all b/c he had some dark ass tint. Hell it may have been a chick.

But...before anyone throws up any BS flags...I was only keeping up when he slowed down - he def was walking away otherwise.

No shame in having a GT walk away from ya. Especially since you have the 3.0 CL. Nice run.

Nice, Alway a better idea to medd with a Gt form a roll then from a stop where he has even more of an advantage. Now, its time to mod your car.

it'll be tough to keep up with GT Stangs in the 99+ y ears. Build that motor up for a juice... and then whoop ass... either that or you can do an H22 swap with boost... I'd go with the bottom one if I were you. Don't mod the V6 unless you're gonna juice it. You'll be sorely dissappointed. I know that fastvteccl I think it was runs crazy times and whoops up on other cars in his 1st gen. He hangs with a lotta the big boys on the road. I forget the website but his vids are great.

Juice is da plan, but it'll prob be a while. I've been checking out dyno runs on peoples 3.0s and I seriously think I can get it up to auto CL-S and GT territory with bolt ons (intake, headers, ignition,HPT,etc). Laughing gas would let me keep up with and/or pass bolt on CL-Ss and GTs.

I'm still kinda nervous about the juice tho, I've got to keep this car for a while - I don't need to be blowing up anything. But if I do it right (TPS and RPM activated, etc), I really don't think I'll have any problems tho, so I dunno.

Fastvteccl has some vids on undergroundracing.com, those are great - esp the one where he kicks that Camaro's ass and the guy whines about it.
