AlphaWerks Header-I Need Help!!!

Hey guys i need some help and opinions on what to do. I bought these headers from Exelerate. I tried installing these today and got stuck. The rear header wasn't matching up to the y-pipe; about an inch gap + its an inch off to the side. Aslo the y-pipe was sitting on the oil pan. I cant belive this
Im not gonna begin to complain im just so pissed an need to resolve this.

Its stiing right on the oil pan

The oil pan is to the left and the y-pipe is on the right

Here's the gap on the rear header from the header to the y-pipe

i just finished my install of the alphawerks headers today, i found that if not installed in a correct sequence that they started to do this, i replanned my install took it all appart again, loosely installed the header manifolds then loosely attached the larger section or y pipe part, then tightened section to section, not attaching the flex section and went from there. when i was in a hurry it was doing EXACTLY what your having a prob with now. pm me if you need input

I did it the same way you just said. I left everything loose and tried to line em up. I still ended up with an inch gap the 4 times we took it apart and tried again
My friend that was helping me is a certified honda tech

I had AlphaWerks headers on my AV6, I had the same problem. What I did was swapped the header I had in the front to the back & the back to the front. That fixed the gap I had. Hope that helps.

As long as exhaust gases have not been run through the headers, you are still able to go through excelerate for a refund. If not I believe you have to deal with Alphawerks directly.

Positive man. I had em on right. I tried to install em 4 times. Inverting the headers, trying to tighten one side first, everything and nothing works . I came out with the same gap. I was playing with this for 6 hours
The guys that was helping me went to honda/acura tech school; he knows excatly what hes doing
NAw the pipes are still new. I didnt get to crank on the car

Unless you can get it to fit up properly, I would suggest not cranking the car if you plan on returning these things.

Reason #1099 to only buy CT headers.

Threads like this are monthly. No insult to you spicy... but frankly, I'm sick and tired of AW threads...

To others... no matter how many times members say spend the extra $ to get CTs... they still buy AW... then a thread like this starts. AW should be shut down for their shady business.

I feel ya, but not everyone has problems... I didnt run into any large ones...

But I understand where you are coming from. They should atleast learn from their problems. Especially since they fixed the problem once and now they are going to have the same damn one again...

Its like once you touch a hot stove your not going to do it again...but alpha werks would probably do it again.... maybe 3 more times... and still not learn something might be wrong haha

Its so true man. I feel dumb. Its not worth the trouble, i should have went with the best to start with.
I spent the whole night installing and reinstalling then back to putting my stocks back on; what a waste. Now i have to wait and see the outcome and probobly end up paying shipping, then back to install the new ones and hope theres no prob
This is the first time some sh*t happens to me like this. I feel violated
Thanks for the support guys

you shouldn't have to pay for shipping, it's their mistake, not yours.
