All comptech = bad?

I've heard that having ALL comptech parts doesn't give as much of a difference as if you mix it up and around. How valid is that statement?

That wouldn't make sense to me. You would think when the company is doing their R&D, they just use their own parts. So, for one, the parts should fit together really well together (ex. Comptech B-Pipe would fit like a glove to the Comptech axle-back). I don't think they are going to sit there on a dyno seeing how their parts do and have an exhaust leak as the car is being revved up. One guy looks at the other guy and says, "hey, what's that sound?"
"Sounds like an exhaust leak."
"Yah, but look at the peformance gains!"
"Cool!! Screw the exhaust leak, start packaging it up and sell em!"
Second, since they only use their own parts when testing, you would think they tinkered around with the stuff to get the most power gains out of it.
Not to say that using other parts won't work, just saying using all the parts from one company would at worst, not hurt anything.

By the way, sorry I posted on this question even though I don't have an Acura and don't use Comptech. I just figured most of the aftermarket companies are, for the most part, the same when it comes to their parts working together.

p.s. I like this smiley

Well if you have all Comptech parts and put a huge HKS sticker across your windshield I heard that adds 15whp but they might have been just messing with me

Yeah dumb statement. And CT makes a quality product even with the recent quality issues with the springs. Everything else seems to be top notch!

Everyting points to a bad batch of springs. One bad batch does not mean all Comptech springs are crap. I've had two sets and both are fine. I've actually got another set on order for a third project. There aren't too many companies out there that have a zero defect rate. Comptech acknowledges the defects and takes care of them. Some of the guys have been out of warranty and received replacements. Comptech is a good solid company with great customer service. I plan on continuing supporting their products.

Yes, they don't make as much of a difference if you put all of them in a blender, then into a cement mixer, and then into a tornado.... I’d agree with that – OK?

And, it’s time for more sleep…
