Air Conditioner problem

Is anyone having or had a leaking problem where the condensor under the glove box leakes the water into the car and not out of the car through the tube. I've checked the tube to make sure it wasn't clogged or anything but that does not seem to be the problem. any advice or similar problems would be apprecited

Doesn't sound good... Just take it in to the dealer and have em' fix it.

My accord did this once... I checked the tube under the car and it wasn't clogged.

Upon investigation water was coming out of the floor vents.

When I took the reservoir apart under the dash, the tube to the outside was clogged, on the inside!! There was some pretty mold that had grown and clogged it.

Once I cleaned that out, everything was fine.

I loved it when it would dump freezing cold water on my sandaled feet when I would rip around a corner!

I noticed it for the first time the other day. I went on a 4 hr. trip. I opened the glove box and noticed a few drops of water on top of my manuals. I did not think it was a leak. I think it may just be condesation dripping from the condensor. I have not checked it again. Where is the tube that you said you checked? Is that the one that drips under the passenger tire all the time? If so, mine is not plugged. I just got home and there is water on the floor of my garage. Please keep me updated if you find anything. Anything!!

I think that did the job mcdanjw, thanks. I shoved a q-tip in the condensor itself where it should be draining and a lot of water came out and the q-tip was very dirty. So thanks for the advice.
Juice i'd say you probably have the same probelm the condensor is under your glove box and you should see a tube going through your firewall, thats where the water dispenses.

I am having a similiar problem. The dealer said they could clean it out for about $20. I was wondering if you guys could tell me how to do it? I am not a mechanic by anyones standards, but I am pretty handy and capable.

how to

you don't need any tools to fix it, just a q-tip or something else to shove into the drainage area. Basically look under your glove box and you should see a large black box with a small hose coming out of it going through the firewall. Disconnect the hose from the black box(just pull it off it's not attached in any way) and shove something in the drainage area, if you see water come out, you win, but also your car will get wet so have something to catch all the water or try and attach the hose back immediatley. also i'd check the hose to make sure that is not cloged too. hope that helps.

I think I did it. I saw a short black hose connected to a black box. I unhooked it, put a q-tip and all that. No water, but I haven't had that problem in a year or so.

The hose basically connected to nothing on the other end, right?
