Air in the Brake lines
Air in the Brake lines
Was wondering if air in the brake lines would cause the VSA light to stay on? Dont say tranny b/c I already know. I changed out the brakes yesterday and teh pedal is still pretty spongy. Does this mean that there's air in the lines???
Thanks,

whatelse would cause a spongy pedal if new pads, fluids full, no air in lines??? BTW Happy thankgiving guys!!! We should probably be w/ our families rather than writing up quick posts! haha
So I should bleed the brakes right? But like you said before I didnt try to bleed them or change a caliper...just the pads. What would cause air to get into the lines other than the prior mentioned? Thanks for your help man.

we used the old brake pad w/ a C-clamp. What do you mean by a slow creep? When I first got the car I could barely touch the pedal and I'd feel it slow down, now I'm going in about half way on the pedal to feel the slightest. I know I can stop I just dont like the feeling of pretty much pushing it through the damned floor to know I'm stopping.

trying to do what I can so I can eliminate options on what it could be. If any of you read my last post about how the throttle got stuck in WOT and when I was slamming the brakes to stop it, I lost pedal pressure and now I'm trying to get it back. Thats what I think is making the VSA light stay on, not my tranny b/c it works fine.
