I am considering the purchase of an AEM V2 Cold Air Intake for my 01 CLS. Has anyone installed one? Are you happy with the choice - as compared to a regular CAI system?

Also, does the filter install outside the engine compartment like the typical AEM CAI? I ask because, as I understand it, according to AEM some of the V2s install the filter inside the engine compatment (i.e. a shorter inlet pipe). I appreciate your comments, advice, etc. THANKS...
