AEM CAI missing parts?
Hey I just recieved my CAI today. It is for a CL-P. I was comparing the parts list in the installation manual with the actual amount of parts and there seems to be a missing pieces? For example it says there are two pipes and four washers. I am not sure though. I just wanted you guys to verify if this is what I am supposed to have or not. Thanks
My XS headers also arrived today. They look a bit dirty sorta like alil oily or something. Do those parts look complete as well? sorry for the crummy picture.

if i were you, i'd contact whoever sold you the CAI and verify the contents with them. say that the contents doesn't match the quantities on the packaging list. and as for that filter, it looks like it'd belong in a shopvac or something . i'm not sure if that's the filter thats included but get a K&N filter replacement, it'll last you pretty much the life of the car.
did you get those xs headers new or used? they look a little grimy.
just throwin' in my , i'm sure someone else will chime in.

they may have sent you one for a cls by accident, thats what injen did to me. it was a good 3 inches short since I dont have the mass airflow sensor. what I did was cut my stock airbox...

It was new from AutoAnything.com. I tihnk you might be right about it being a type S CAI. It does look awfully like the one here http://wizardsworks.org/chod/acura/cai/. I will give autoanything a call and see what they say.

that is definitely not the filter that should come with the CAI. it looks like a paper element (and it says DO NOT OIL ! ).. AEM elements are purpleish in colour, and you DO oil them for use.
headers: they are fine, look a few threads down about 'used XS headers' and you will see responses about the oil.

UPDATE!!!
So after an hour with them on the phone. APparently they packed the old set of instructions. This is one of their newer kits. argh no wonder no part matched up. waste my long distance money....The white filter is their so called new "DRYFLOW" one that doesnt need oiling.
Here is a scan of the new parts list and it does match up to the picture.
so ANYONE who buys new CL-P intake.. haha dont be alarmed

Just to let you know, I just bought a new Dry Flow filter from AEM and it looks exactly like the one they sent you, so its legit.
The box it came in said that they come in two colors, white and grey, and it doesn't affect performance at all.

When I got my air filter they put two stickers in the box, they were the Yellow and red ones. They look so ugly. When I got my CAI from they a few years ago the stickers were all Grey and match my car very well, those are the ones I actually used.
