AEM CAI and Bypass pictures

I didn't care too much for where they installed the bypass, but it could be worse. Has anyway noticed that the engine bay looks a little naked with the CAI in it??

Now this is the picture in question where do those 'Things' that were left over from the stock intake go from the pictures I posted earlier??

No doubt, i'm more for not standing out in a crowd (that is until I rev up ). Now that I think about it the red would have looked pretty sweet.

I'll try and post pics tomorrow. The red looks really nice and matches the letters on the engine well. It's very shiny and metallic looking. I didn't go for the bypass b/c if you look at where the filter sits there is no way water is getting to it unless you are submerged.

Can you feel a difference in the car? I definately think the car is more responsive overall and a good bit faster at highway speeds during a 5-3 downshift. Also, judging from my first tank of gas I would have to say that my gas mileage has also improved.

JSuppi--quick question for you. Is that gold bracket that is bolted to the engine compartment about 6 inches from where the intake connects to the engine attached to the intake? For some reason I don't think I have one of those there. I might have to go and check right now.

That gold bracket is not attached to the engine, I thin it is holding one of the plugs. It was there before, you sure you don't have it??

I had a feeling that the AEM sticker would get covered by the valve. I think i'd cut another inch up just for looks.

If you mean the foam covered part, yes that is the bypass valve. The pictures of it in the magazines and on web pages show it as a plastic device with "flaps". That fuzz you refer to is the foam covering it.
