Acura CL not recognized by dealerships anymore?
Acura CL not recognized by dealerships anymore?
Something interesting that i noticed today at the dealership while dropping off my car...
While I was waiting to be taken care of, I noticed that the dealership had posters and misc. pictures of different Acura's throughout the years. From older to newer.
As I am looking around I am waiting to see a pic of a CL but I found Nothing. Walked around one more time to make sure and still did not sww one CL.
They have pics of the TL's, Integra's, RL's, TSX's etc... All models made by acura were hanging up all over the place except for the CL. Anyone know why? Was the CL such a huge disappointment for Acura that they want to hide the fact that it was ever made?

Not so. I just got my Acura Style magazine. The last section speaks about their cars from the past. Here is a quote from Acura:
Page 53...."1996: 2.2CL is made in the USA.....with the unveiling of its new 1997 2.2CL * sports coupe in the spring of 1996, Acura becomes the first luxuary-import named-plate to design, engineer, and assemble cars in the United States. The 202CL is designed and engineered in Torrance, California, and Raymond, Ohio, and assembled in Marysville, Ohio. And it sets quite a percedent: Today, more than 75 percent of Acura vehicles sold in the United States are assembled in North America.
NO MENTION OF TYPE S BLAH BLAH BLAH.......LMFAO !

They are only going to promote/advertise their newest models in the showroom. I wouldn't be suprised if Acura Corporate has a policy of telling their dealerships to take down posters for older stuff.
