ACL Your Input is greatly Appreciated..RE: Dealer Fuck up...

Ok, Some of you may remember me telling the sotry of when I had my new Sumi HTR's mounted to my OEM wheels, by my ACURA dealership, they scratched every one of my rims.

In follow up. They told me there was a guy who repaired wheels for them, and he could come out and fix them for me. Fine.
Visit 1:
Took the car in......to my suprise when I got back to my car that afternoon, the wheels look all better (even one I had curbed they had repaired). BUT AS I got closer, I noticed the finish was not normal. The wheels looked plain Silver now, no shiny "polished" look anymore, adn they felt ROUGH. So I decided to scrape on them a little with my nail to see how durable this "fix" was, and HAH, the shit started flaking off, and I coudl see the Polished Finish beneath this. So I asked about the flaking and they told me the wheels had to "Cure" for 48 hrs. Fine. So the guy fixes my scratch test.
I leave and figure I'll give this a shot (knowing this isn't going to work)
48 Hours later I wash my car......Damn things are flaking like a bad case of dandruff.
Visit 2 Call and they tell me to rbing back in: Done
"Fixed" again...Still knowing this isn't going to work. I take it tell them, ok give it another shot.
I continue to take the car away and bring it back
1-- Because I am not being charged since it was their mistake
2-- I want to prove that this "fix" is not going to work.

Now almost a month later, One wheels has a flake, and I know the others aren't too far behind it.

My dealer knows how anal I am about the appearance of my car. Yet they have not offered to replace my wheels, which is what I really want to have done since I find this "silver non polished" look to be not very attractive.

What should I do get this matter resolved ??

(This bugs me day and night and everytime I look at my car)

If they wont do anything about replacing your wheels, bring it up to higher management levels in corporate acura until you get what you want!

if they won't replace them, just call up the ladder. or even threaten a claims suit.

yeah, I've sent all but one rim to be repaired, and I know exactly what you're talking about in terms of flaking. The guy who repaired your rim didn't do a very good job.

There is a great place in Long Island that does rim repair. Used to do the RIMS for Mercedes, and they always came back AMAZING

Go and get a quote from a good rim place to fix all of your rims and bring it to the dealership and tell them either they fix the rims (using the good place) or you are going to take some legal action...Sometimes you have to be a jerk, but keep the conversation all business. Leave your emotion at home...

Try to get money from them, then buy some nice aftermarket wheels.
