they can't pay you for only half the damage.
u had full coverage. they should pay you the full price.

to be honest, the car's worth around 6300 and he probably realized he quoted you too much, but either way, fight for that 9000.

If you have the first amount in writing, fight them on it. Worst case scenario, get a lawyer.

Sounds like they are screwing with you. You need to call them.

wow... far as im concerned, while the adjuster was doing the estimate, he said the damages were over 9000 and it didn't cross the threshold into the total loss department, so im figuring that means that the value was more than 9000. he also said that the threshold was 75%, i don't know, it all sounds fishy... i never got the 9K in writing, so i can't go off of that... plus, all the paper work was done already.

im pretty sure that they realized that it was worth only 6300, so they gave me that, even kbb said the same thing, what would you guys do?

haha, they said that since the damage on the driver side door was done by another party, THE THIRD party's insurance wouldve been responsible for the damages, but since its a hit and run, i couldn't get anything out of it. got the 6333.55 in the mail last week, gonna go shopping now, want a 03 spd, s2k, or maybe a wrx, idk yet, ill let you guys know though.

Ummmm, you pay into uninsured motorist as well as no-fault, so your insurance is supposed to cover you for that. You pay for that "service".

God I hate insurance companies.

Sorry to hear about your accident...that really DOES suck...especially since it wasn't your fault! But 63 is pretty close to the value...I would've asked for just a bit more. And you are OK??? No "pain and suffering"? Seems to me they could have thrown in a couple extra bucks just for goodwill.
And, in case you are interested, my Nighthawk Black 01 is for sale in the Black Market section.

Insurance and good-will do not belong in the same sentence.

on the chassis, its unknown, but the rebuilt 18RG has about 71,xxx on it, runs sweet, sputters a little bit, some minor rust issues, and 2 cancerous ones, but its a project in the works.
