me and a couple guys go out to eat lunch yesterday. on the way back me and my friend with a red av6 catch the light on dale mabry and gandy. well, i look at him and do that dumb ass point down the road, he smirks knowing i have one person in the car w/me and gives thumbs up. so we wait for the light.... the on comming trafic light turns yellow so i start to powerbreak, dude in the av6 just sits there. light turns green and im off squeeling, hes instantly 2 cars back (launch is everything). i keept pullin on him till i hit 70, then i ease back down to 45, and he catches up to me hidin his face. well..... we get back to work and he says the classic i just lost so now heres my excuse, "i got a bad launch". i offer to race again w no one in my car and he says sure. so when we get another chance were gonna have a rematch. maybee ill get it on vid.

 

Yeah both our cars are a bitch to launch without practice so good kill on your skillful launch.

I notice for some weird reason the 1st gen CL's are slightly faster than Accords even though they're the same motor. I believe weight is nearly equal. I was thinking maybe since the CL is rounder but I doubt that'd be a reason in lower speeds.

 

i pulled on him from start to finish. i do have an intake. but hes only got like 50k miles vs my 104k, ill just stick with the good launch theory
