75/80 Dragway on 10-27 as well

For those with nothing to do this coming weekend take a trip to 75/80 dragway in Fredrick, MD for a day of test and tune.

I'll be there and I'll probably run and see if i can get into the real low 16's in my N/A 4cyl 1st Gen, and Dustbuster4 is looking to break into the 13's in his NO2 breathing 1st gen CL. Anyone else interested?

Check out Nov3 as well if this weekend isn't good to hang with 6speedS and a few others.

Hope to see you there.

Sniper's not in that area of MD... yet. Bout an hour to the south.
The burnout clouds create good cover most of the day....

Anyhow, don't let a wacko dictate what you do or do not do!

Looks like the sniper only sleeps there
Fredrick, MD rest stop is where they picked up the two guys.
(I'll be surprised if they are the culprits though.)

Today's racing sucked! :thumbsdn:

I got 6 runs in and they all sucked! My best was a 14.3 (the very last run).

I think that everyone who lived in MD was there today!

They did have a nasty wreck which livened things up!

BTW: My car's going into the shop this week, and I doubt that it will be ready by next Sunday.

Sorry to hear about that! I thought it would have been better with the weather conditions. Was it a traction problem? Anyone else from the forum there? I'm getting the camber kit on this week and aligned, it should help me a little at the track.
BTW, I'll send you some more pics (better ones) if you could host them for me again. I got the dash kit, don't really recommend it, the pieces aren't precisely cut.

p.s. NOS is here! Will most likely wait until the spring to put it on.

I was there.
Track was not so good i don't think. I had bad wheel hop on my best run but that's to be expected. I ran the same 16.4 that I did before.
Breezy Headwind. Tons of people. Only got 2 runs in 5 hours!
Not happy.
I tried adjusting my shift points on the second run and lost a 10th of a sec. Wanted to keep experimenting but didn't want to wait for the rest of the frikin day for one more run!

First run was with the engine warm from the drive over and second was with it cold... I wonder if V-tec kicked in for 1st gear...

i'm done for the year.

I think we should hit some other tracks next season. I hear Cecil has good traction.

Dustbuster It was nice meeting you Sunday at the track hope we can do it again this spring and you too NOMAD! I agree the track was to slippery even after the OP cars ran. I really wanted to get into the 13s on my 20s but I will take the 14.3 I got. I asked a tire guy what my lowest psi could be on my 20s , he said not to go under 21psi so I could of drop it some more . Well if you go back this year just put the Stock ones on and you will be in the 13s with no doubt!!! GOOD LUCK!!!

dustbuster did better with his stock wheels/tires when i was there, just narrowly missing the 13's. It's too bad you guys won't be there next sunday. I need to get one more day in before the end of the season to get a baseline E.T. to compare it to NOS next year. I do think a better track may be in the books too. I'm thinking about doing friday night test and tune next year--a little more exciting. NOMAD, my neighbor will bring his WRX if you're interested in seeing it, he most likely will run it, but he already said he'll be in the 15's and 16's, because he cant launch it!
