Has anyone changed out there shift knob from the oem to the new TL 6 spd knob or to the TSX knob. If so, does it fit without having to make any modifications to the shift boot.

I switched mine out for the TSX knob a while back, fits fine but you have to figure out a way to keep the boot up since it does not have the clip like the stock CLS knob. I used rubber washers on the shaft.
There may be a new TSX knob but I like the perforated leather and red lettering on mine.

 

i own a 03 cl's 6 speed and i put on the 06 TL shift knob. Fits perfectly. No modifications needed. The TL shift knob is way better than going for the tsx one bause it has the clip to keep the boot up

 

Here's mine with the S2000 shift knob. By the way, how's the CT Supercharger? You coming to Houston anytime soon? I would like to check it out

SWEET Don I think TRANCEMISSION is going to cut my knob like yours

 

I have the S2000 one also. You need to be creative with the boot. The knob fits fine though.

Well, I took the plunge and got the TL knob and it fits nice and tight. No mods needed to keep the boot up since it use the same clip system as our CL. It seem to feel like the shifting is shorter, maybe its due to the knob being much lower compare to our long knob.

HTWON I should be traveling up to houston area may be in the near future. However, if you guys put on a car meet I will travel up. Let me know what you guys have planned out for the summer.

 

How much was the knob, where'd you get it? Yea the shift seems shorter with the shorter knobs. THe CLs stock know is really tall.

Is your CL anthracite or white? I remember you getting it here in Austin if I recall.

I just ordered the 06TL know and it was 70.xx on the acuraOEMparts.com
dfv3.2CL-S, does it have the aluminum trim ring between the knob and the boot or do you recycle the chrome one that is on the stock CLS6mt boot?

thats funny i just called the dealership and they said the 06 tl does not come in a mannuel shift knob
