6 speeds
The MT is rare because you are correct, there were just around 3,500 of them made.
But on the forum, there are quite a few as most people here are "enthusiasts."
I have two, a red and a white.

The black one is at a body shop in Bryan, TX right now. The other has rear damage and is soon to be stripped and become to donor for a friend's CG2. Once my black one gets out I wouldn't mind going to something, but I'm not much of a meet person. Too many other Honda morons in the past have done their best attempts to ruin that.
I dont go to the ricer meets.
butt, the houston acurazine crew is pretty solid.
i'm supposed to get my car from the shop today...

I just got a Charcoal colored CL-S 6 speed last week
has 101k and so far I love it. Previous car was a Mitsubishi 3000gt VR4 and stock for stock its almost as quick. Hooking up seems to be a bit of a challenge though even with the stock LSD.

I got two also. NBP with nav 176K and an AM with nav 103K. AM was bought last year with front end damage. Trying to finish fixing but with kids that doesn't seem like its gonna happen. Will probably be on the black market soon since I'd rather not part it out.
I've had 2 CLS 6speeds also. First one was a white/tan, had it a year and loved CLS so much I sold it and got a loaded one in better colors Anthracite/black and Navi. still going strong at 110k miles.
I wouldn't have considered an automatic.
and with no Acura coupes made for over 11 years, I'm still driving one.

The Prelude rode on rails, much lower, lighter car. Legends felt more solid.
but the 6MT CLS is as fun to drive as any coupe I've had.
just drove it 400 miles this weekend, effortless and plenty of power. gotta love Honda...errr Acura for making such damn good cars and shifters.
and my 11 year old CLS is much older than the previous coupes I kept for shorter times. mine was lowered on Comptech years ago, no other mech mods, some cosmetic.

oh btw.... my car came with some kind of a knock off shift knob. It's all black and the exact shape as the oem shift knob but it's not leather. I don't know what it's made of to be honest. Does anyone have an OEM manual shift knob they'd be willing to sell me or does anyone know where I can find one? I've been searching Google like crazy and all I can find is pictures of one.
Mine is silver w black, no nav but with factory spolier. I've had it since '04 and now have 192k. No troubles beyond scheduled service. New clutch at 160k, timing belt/water pump at 140k, always Michelin Sport all around. CD changer went out recently but I've read that's common; replaced with aftermarket JVC unit. I'm consideing selling because I now drive a work van every day and the car gets used maybe once a month. Not sure what the value is, but I'm guessing it's less than what I would want for it. I absolutely love this car though.
