Placed an order 3 weeks ago with anticipated delivery late this month, early next month. Drop my salesperson an email asking about a production date?? I get a call from the sales manager. Dealer unable to order car from factory due to allocation. He doesn't know when they will be given a slot.

I am bummin.

That sucks man, but it doesn't suprise me. My dealer said that if he couldn't trade for one, he didn't know when he would be able to get a white one. Seems like he had a 25% constraint on the CLSMT6 (showed me an email). He explained that this meant that he had to sell 3 CL cars to get another CLSMT6. This sounds like the same thing you are going through.

Check around at the other dealers and see if they could order one faster. If they have sold more CL (s or p) then maybe they can order one now.

Of course, I was pretty confused by all of the numbers he was throwing around so I might have mis-understood. The funny part was, he didn't even bother to talk price with me. At first I thought he was trying to pull a fast one on me and get me to pay over invoice. Then, he let me walk out without really trying to sell me a car. THEY JUST CANT GET THEM.

 

I’m stopping up to my local dealer tonight to show them my car with the Wheels/Springs on.
I’ll ask around what the latest 6-Speed availability rumors are.

I know last time I was there to pick my car up they said they lost a couple of sales because they were telling potential 6-Speed buyers that they wouldn’t see their cars until July/August if a specific color was requested.
