6 speed Wheel hop question

So I was wondering. Those of you who drive 6 speeds....If you break loose under acceleration, does it always hop, or do you get normal wheel spin sometimes. I dont drive too hard, but especially in the rain, I sometimes loose traction starting at a light. And every time, no matter what, I get violent hop, not spin...

So let me know what you all think

Thanks
Jeremy

Did you check your tire pressure? Over inflated tires can sometimes cause major wheel hop..

A major yes! In the rain more then dry payment. If I'm carefull with the gas, I can peel out instead of hoping.

My car hops so hard in the rain that it feels like I have hydrolics. On dry pavement I usually spin first gear and get some hop going into second

I've got the rpms figured out so I don't hop on dry pavement in 1st, but I hop all the time in the rain.

This is my only complaint about the CLS 6spd, but it pisses me off sometimes

I'm wondering if lowering the car w/ CT's springs would help, but I'm trying to keep my CLS stock.

I drive it quite hard and I experience that wheel hop a lot too... if I don't want it to hop, I have get my rpms really high to really break traction... then it spins without the hopping... but why is it hopping, does anyone knows???

I get lots of hop if I really floor it from a stop, but I havent driven it in the rain too much. Who cares if it hops in the rain though, shouldnt you not be trying to drive fast or launch?

I hope some wider, stickier tires will help, but I don't know.
