6 Speed Trans

I test drove a six speed and seemed like an unbalanced (vibration)clutch/pressure plate isssue. Also the clutch seemed way too tight. This turned me off from buying one. Yes, I got the auto. Does anyone know of a scanner (OBDII) that will clear the memory?

it doesn't matter.

i've probably hit the rev limiter more times than you've driven your car.

i doubt the ecu keeps track of that kind of info.

well...you have to over-rev like a bitch to set a code...just hitting the rev-limiter won't set it but if you ride w/ it over-reving or something youy will set a code for over-reving the motor...I've seen it before. As far as the clutch feeling too tight or whatever...there might have been something wrong w/ the car you testdrove...there should not be any vibration at all...if there was it might have been something small as wheel balance or warped rotors or even a wheel bearing but not likely your trans...
