6 speed swap ?

Seeing how my Cl has 230k I know that engine won't go to far past 300k if I'm lucky .
I would like to do a 6 speed swap , with rebuilt motor ? Or should I look for a whole engine?
Also I seen some people redoing the pistons with RL ones? Making it 3.5?

Still a little confused about all, but how much would a 6 speed swap run me ?
& what trannys could be used ?

You're misinformed about our cars' engines. They will take you WAY beyond 300k if you keep up with the timing belt and oil changes.

The transmission will crap out, so you should get a 6 speed if you want to keep it going for a lot longer. Engine rebuilds have been done with 3.5 block. the RL pistons are used to LOWER the compression ratio, in case TL-S/CL-S is too much.

Check on the 2nd gen TL side for info on the 6speed swap.

Also you can use CL-S or TL-S pistons in a 3.5 build. RL pistons are being used for a slight bump in power (CR).

Other way around, the RL pistons bump compression to ~11:1.

Ah yes, my bad.

TL-S/CL-S: 10.5:1
