yea man the CL was a small fortune when it came out. but still for the price it was the best car all things considered. The options you got with the CL.. sunroof, leather, tilt passenger mirror, auto dim mirror, heated 6 way power seats... etc it was an amazing car at the time.

If you think about it.. Infiniti then had to come out with the G35 to compete with the TL/CL since Acura found the sport/luxury mid-sized car market was HUGE for sales

Just hit 60k miles two days ago. Celebrated with a tranny flush, coolant flush, top off clutch/brake/PS and windshield fluids and oil/filter change. My baby is getting old but running hard. She will be getting new shoes in 3-4months.

Nice. Our cars are around 7-8 years old but you have nothing to worry about if you keep it in good condition.

These cars are very reliable aside from auto trannys

damn civic how many miles do you drive a year. I average around 10k. btw how is that cm clutch holding up. I need to stop buying all these smaller mods and save for that clutch.

I average around 40k a year, although it has slowed down over the past few months. Im still averaging around 600 miles a week though, but that beats the 1k a week I was doing a year ago.

So far the CM clutch is holding up great. I haven't been able to really get on it though because its too cold and I cant hook up. It should start warming up in a few weeks so I should be able to get on it and see how it can handle a few hard 1-2 shifts. I am being "in tune" with it though because there was another member with this same clutch that had to replace it after 3500 miles. Im listening to any odd feelings or noises, which there is one when the car has been sitting for over 5 hours and you start to drive, it almost sounds like its rubbing on something as you let the clutch out. But once its warmed up it acts like any normal clutch. That may be because of the kevlar in the disc though, I dont know. Im not sure what the other members break in period consisted of though, as I had to go easy on it well past the 500 mile break-in period specified by CM because I was breaking the motor in at the same time.

It isn't difficult to drive at all though and I definately notice a difference with the lightweight flywheel.

were you able to keep your option pulley with the light weight flywheel you have now?

Yea I still have the option pulley. The problems in the past were due to the CT clutch setup.

Ill take a video of it. It revs up and down pretty quickly. Throttle response has improved greatly.

I'll take my position for now.. and for the record, only maintenance outside of scheduled has been 2 worn wheel bearings and a couple mangled rims (thanks to Indiana side roads), still even using the original clutch.

Plan on new plugs and fluids this summer and riding this thing out as long as i can.. No car payments ftw

damn so you never had to replace your lower ball joints, control arms, resurface or replace warped rotors, fix the torsion bar welding that snaps off, new shocks etc thats all i can think of for now.

-The rotors are wear items, but I knew of the warping issue when I bought the car (@48k) and went with Rotoras from there on out and its been fine.

-I installed Tein SS's at just under 100k. There wasn't anything wrong with the factory setup, which i actually kept until last year in case i decided to tell the car.

Never had any of the other issues mentioned (yet).. I will be going through the car this summer when I have more time, want to get another 2 years out of it as a DD
