30k Service

Got my 30k Service done this weekend. Set me back about 460 bucks. But well worth it, also I changed my brakes this weekend, Put the Acura Stock Pads on the Front, and used the EBC GreenStuff Pads for the back.

I'm going to post 2 part numbers later, the dealer told me they are going to be replaced under warranty, they are for the SRS System, beleive the said something to do with the SeatBelts.

If I am correct, I remember reading other posts about the Seatbelts, am I correct? and what were the issues?

Why would you spend $460 for something that only cost me $140? I understood that the rear brakes were OK, and that most people on this site who changed brakes opted for the "new" model front pads ($50.00). I had my drivers side seat belt asm. replaced (wasn't retracting fully). The replacement is much better (it now hangs app. 20%, used to hang 85%). YMMV

The dealer charged the 400 beans for the 30k Service.

I did the brake job myself. I bought the updated Front Pad from Acura, and I bought the Rear from Shore MotorSports. (SMS also sells Zaino . Located in Howell, NJ )

The Front Pads still had about 1/3 left, but the Rear Outside Pads were almost to Metal. So Since i had then all off I replaced the fronts as well as the rear. The EBC GreenStuff Pads Grip nice. Car feels good while braking.

I am about to get my 30K service? I recall the dealer told me it was about 3 bills. Tell me how you get it so low? Or what service do I need.

With the defective seat belts sometimes the computer thinks the seat belt isn't fastened when it acutally is. Because of this it automatically turns off the air bags.

I am going to call around some dealers in the Area, and ask them for a quote on the 30K Service, and then go back to my dealer asking to a refund on the difference. If they want a good rating on the Service when they send up the survey, I think the;ll do it? You think ?

I rather rrequest specific items to be checked/replaced when doing my 30K service. There are to many unnecessary things included in 30K check up that you dont realy need and which cost to much money
