friend of a friend just bought a 95 300zx auto non-turbo. says he can take me. what do you guys think? i was reading up on the turbo manuals and said 15.0 stock for those. is that true? if it is...i don't think he stands a chance

 

I think my 3.0 could take him lol, you shouldn't have a problem. The non-turbo cars like this (Supra NA, 300zx NA, 3000GT NA) are nothing special.

A friend of mine has one and I killed him badly every single time ... to the point that he wouldnt look at me if I catch him somewhere on the street cuz he's afraid of racing me.

Uh, don't sleep on the Supra NA. They do run mid 14s and topout above 145mph. But, the rest are easy pickins. The auto na 300ZX only has 222hp and weighs about 3500lbs, so its the fat chick of sports cars rather than its TT sibling (the phat chick).

The stock TT models (90-96) with manual tranny run the same times as the current 350Z (about upper 13s - low 14s) but respond much better to mods (being forced induction and so forth).

You'll smoke your friend whether your driving a CLS or CLP.
