300 Hp

Okay whats the best way to get to 300 HP with out using a supercharger and no turbo.

Would this be enough?

-comptech header
-comptech exahust
-cold air intake

LOUIS
03' cl-s 6spd

260 hp (hehe)

and if you disagree can you list what should be done and the hp gain?

exhaust won't give you any gains. maybe 2-3 tops.

headers and a CAI or icebox and you are at 300hp at the crank.

CAI, TB/ported Intake Manifold, Headers, some kind of fuel tuning and you are there!! You can extract more of that power to the wheels by adding pulleys and the Comptech clutch/flywheel!

allmotor - do pulleys really help? I've never been able to get a definitive answer. are there proven gains?

Probably closer to 25% loss on an auto rather than 20%.

If 240WHP, then approx 320 Crank HP.
If 300 Crank HP, then approx 225WHP.

What type of fuel tuning is available for our cars? (00'TL-P) And one more question: flywheel for the 5speed sport shift, is this an option? My goal is to put around 250 to the ground...
things i've done:
AEM V1 CAI
Hyper Ground and Voltage
right now i am putting 179.55HP and 175.56Ft/Lb dynoed to the ground on 19"s. What do i need to do to get there?
i have pulleys in house and headers on the way...

Pulleys don't make power... they put less load on the engine. I am 50-50 on using pulleys. The pulley is not going to ruin the timing belt It could, theoretically, not dampen some of the harmonics generated by the crank and could lead to subsequent engine damage - there are a lot of threads on this.

For fuel-tuning, a V-AFC or E-manage (just the main unit) will work. I recommend the E-manage because you could tune more and have pretty much all the electronics you need if you went FI.

For TL-P to go from 180whp to 250whp... well, that's stretch! You need to rebuild the motor for that.

A very high compression J32A2 (12.0:1) with a correctly ported head, cams, ITB's and a stand-alone engine computer could put 320-330whp.

I have had some success with the after market pulleys but the only ones that have been recommended to me were the UR pulleys. I had them installed along with the B-pipe and my best time went from a 13.84 to 13.68 on the 1/4. As to what the pulleys would have done by them selves I don't know but those are good gains with just 2 simple mods.
I hope that is of help to you.

Is that one guy still around that was offering the 'package' 3.5L conversion with 3 different mods to it along with different transmissions?

hey allmotor how much would it cost to put that kind of power down. With that high of a compression ratio.

300hp

lost hp and torque polishing and porting heads. I f your going to do it send them out but the gain is not worth 15 HP unless you plan to S/C.

The raeson for the lost in power is because off the alraedy very efficient head design, at least that what I have seen.
