Why would you? What do you expect to gain from that?

now that we're on that note here, what factor makes this engine swap beneficial to the 2G CL/TL and not the 3G TL?

Word to me it makes 0 sense to mess with the 3G engine, just put a supercharger and call it the day. The torque on the 3G is better than 2G. It's like night and day from my car to my boy's 3G..

Is his manual? If so, keep in mind yours is auto.

to my knowledge, the 3.5 swap just would generate a better powerband as far as torque goes. The supercharger would be a much better mod to do in my opinion.

okay, so you get some extra torque from the slight increase in engine output.
i've seen an AV6 do the 3.5L swap and the S/C. do you guys know of any CLs/TLs that have done this?
crazy.

There are a couple who have done it Type R for one and some other guy in Hawaii and Cocoa is doing it with a 6spd swap also to his 1st Gen 3.0..It's fine for a 2nd Gen TL or CL but a 3rd Gen TL makes no sense.

There are actually at least 2 accords v6's with this mod and also the supercharger. I don't know of any TL's with this however off the top of my head there are 3 guys with the 3.5 swap that still posts on this forum and one of them did/does run low 13s with bolt ons.

It's possible. You would use the 05 MDX block to the best of my knowledge. I believe that's the block that has the same casting as the new TL's. Double check though over at v6performance.net This has been discussed before....
