Need A Suggestion For Which Car To Get

Might be selling my car and I am trying to decide which car to get after.

I still want to keep it in the same class (luxury/performance)

My price range is from $15k to $18k
Mile Range from 0-50k ish miles
Must have a 1/4 time under 14.5 sec
The car must be 6spd!
Color: Anything but Red/Green
No fixer uppers or that have been in an accident.
I would also prefer something that still has warranty just in case.
Navigation is a big big plus but hard to find in everything except for the Acuras

Here are my choices that i think are the best and in the range:
6spd ONLY!

1) Acura CLS (best pacage but 2 door and hard to find navi/6spd and my range)
2) Audi A6 2.7L Twin Turbo (cheapest)
3) Infiniti G35 (most $$ out of all of them)
4) Pontiac GTO (Not that luxurious)

Let me know what you guys think and if there are any good ones in the market like that or any other brands/types that i am forgetting.

THANX GUYS..

6mt
Nav
14.5 sec 1/4 mile
$15-$18K
less then 50K miles

That really limits your options

Only thing that fits all that is a 6mt CLS

I haven't driven the A6 2.7 but Audi's of that generation are pretty nice. With 4wd and an easy to mod engine I'd find that pretty tempting.

Where I live every 3rd car is a G35 so I personally wouldn't go that route. (and from my experience they're slower on the highway than my CL...although not by much).

And well...the GTO is just a different kind of car, its probably a blast but I'm guessing the interior will feel like a step down.

Finally, I love my 6pd ... definitely not a bad choice.

CLS 6spd fits the bill, like Fuzzy said...

If you're going to limit your search for just a 6spd w/ navi, you're looking at finding one of only 820 cars made... (make that 734, since you don't want red)...

If you're not in a big rush, you should be able to find one, but for 15-18K, you're probably going to have to get something over 50K miles (factory warranty expires @ 50K).

I've got 47K miles on my SMR CLS 6spd, and I don't think I would sell it for much less then 18K in a private sale...

You've seen 'em in the BM here:

https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/closed-sale-2003-cl-s-6-speed-58-000-miles-some-mods-%2417-999-a-328651/

and

https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/fs-has-got-go-03-cls-6-speed-339307/

And those prices are in line with what I've seen for 6spd with that kinda mileage.

For $15K you're looking at a CLS w/ over 75K miles probably (acura won't certifiy cars w/ over 75K miles) like this one:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...t=high+mileage

If this thread starts to turn into a audi or infiniti love feast, I'll have to close it and ask that you repost your question in cartalk (which it should probably be in the first place):

HMm... tough call between the CLS, G35 and the A6. The G35 is a nice car, but its becoming too common now. Performance wise, very similar to the the CLS yet the CLSMT is quicker off of the line. The A6 is a nice machine, but ive heard that the car has many issues, meaning recalls and such. A friends father had one and the thing caught on fire while it was parked. Something malfunctioned which caused the wires to short out which then caused the fire with in the dash and front end. The GTO is a monster, but again i personally feel its a step down in quality and luxury.

Your price range seems to mandate the car be a used vehicle. I don't know if it's too small, but a used Acura RSX is a nice car. You also might be able to obtain a used Nissan 350Z, but the price might be difficult to attain.

sorry greenie, but i wouldn't mind a g35 sedan. sedans seem less common than coupes, and are going for less as well. maybe even throw down a little more for the sixo speedah.

Actually the GTO is the easiest to find in this price range with the lease miles because it is an American car which is very sad. I am not into the interior of the GTO though.

The 6spd CLS is great but it is so hard to find one with what I want because most of them that I see are silver (which i dont like because it just looks too simple and blends in) and most of the other colors dont have NAVI.

The Audi A6 looks pretty good inside and out but they dont have NAVI because Audi tried to get rid of the screen NAVI and put Voice only NAVI which not many people liked.

I am trying my best to find a 6spd CLS with NAVI because that is my top choice and I am very familiar with the car but its hard.
I am also worried about the clutch for these cars because the do have a good number of miles on them.

Does anyone know how long the clutch lasts on a CLS (average)

Thanks for the help by the way.

and by $18k price range I mean the starting price can be $19-20 for all i care but I want to be able to get it down to $18 MAX...
Like if its a black on black 03 cls navi 6spd i dont think they would go down on the price as much as if it was a 6spd black w/o navi.

Seems like you will be getting a CL-6. All the other ones will pretty much be out of your price range.

Theres a ton of 6spds for sale every week on autotrader and ebay.....with your limits, a CLS-6 is the only thing you'll come close to.

CLS-6 is the best thing you can buy. It's what I'm planning on doing.
