The 06 Altima only has 251 TQ, CLS 232. Thats only a 19 diff. Not 30. HP is the same 260. And that does not include the mods on his CL6. With his mods hiis motor should be around 280HP. Maybe a tad more.
But the Altima does weight about 200 lbs less. Not a huge diff.
I think his CLS6 would win.

The Altima weighs LESS than the CLS6? Ouch. Yeah i'm gonna run him this summer. I don't think i'll get the supercharger (waste of money) but what other engine mods can i do besides pulleys to ensure the victory more so. I'm probbaly a better driver than him. Should be fun
Well you won't want to put any money on the race. Stock those SE-R 6spds are capable of low 14's stock around 99MPH. Basically its enough to take out a stock 6spd CL-S by a car length, however you have some good mods that would put you in the high 13's. I would say its a great drivers race. Check out some of the youtube vids of those SE-R's.
Specs:
CL-S6
-3446lbs (no navi)
-260hp @6100rpm
-232tq @3500rpm
SE-R
-3279lbs(6speed), 3316(auto)
-260hp @6000rpm
-251tq @3600rpm
The big thing is whether or not your friends SE-R is a 6spd or auto. With headers, intake, and lightweight pulleys, you shouldn't have a problem beating him, as long as you have a good jump, and don't screw up any shifts.
When the CL originally came out Motor Week managed a 1/4 mile time of 14.2 in the 6 speed. A quick search on dragtimes.com netted me a 6 speed SE-R that ran a 14.2, with a K&N filter. An 03 CL-S6 with just an Icebox ran a 14.0. Those were the two fastest near stock cars on that site.

Yes it does. The CL-S does not have 260HP SAE. That 260HP number came out before the SAE corrections. Look at what the CL-S puts down to the wheels stock 6spd and auto as far as WHP. It basically matches the 03-07 Accord V6 auto and 6spd as far as WHP. The CL-S puts out more like 245 crank.
You can get an idea by looking at the 04-08 base TL which was rated at 270HP but downgraded to 258 SAE.

Here is one for stock CL-S6 216whp on this site.

They don't usually put down 220whp. I wouldn't doubt if one did on a good day. But I haven't found one put down 220whp stock yet. Those cars do gain WHP and WTQ nicely with mods though!
CL-S autos stock put down 200whp. AV6 autos like mine put down 198WHP stock and 181TQ.
Hmmmmm. I'm pretty sure ToV made 220whp on a stock CL-S6 when it first came out. Ill search later for it.
And remember, with the new SAE ratings the 7th gen Accord actaully gained hp, up 4 from 240hp.

You might be right. I tried to look up the dyno's on TOV for the Acura CL-S6 and Accord V6 6spd but I think they deleted them.
