Uhm... what's your point. What they are advertised and what they actually sell for are considerably different. Go check edmunds for pricing, your car is worth 6k private sell @ 80k

Plus, I've had two of these that were heavily modified. Been there, done that.

You want to get really upset, buy a Galves account, Dealerships will probably offer under 5k for tradein.

I bought my current car 4 months ago around todays current Private Party, and several grand under Retail. This was utilizing Galves in my favor, I am quite adept in negotiations.

You're making a pissing contest out of nothing. I said you got a FAIR deal, you paid right around what the car is worth. These advertised prices are very inflated. For 10k+ I'd be looking at a 350z with Right Wheel Drive or a 3rd Gen TL/7th Gen Accord if I wanted another Honda/Acura.

I think you may be getting terminology mixed up.

He said you paid a fair (as in reasonable) price for the car.

You may be thinking "fair" as in the condition that KBB has for cars.

Either way, it doesnt matter what a car is listed for. I can list mine for $20k, that doesnt mean all of them are worth that, nor will it sell for that.

 

Thats why i dont agree with him, because i think i got a steal. I know what you mean, but when the dealers list a CL for $13000, they wont let it go for 6....

UMM, WITHIN A 100 MILE radius, 2003 cl-s go for 8-12k at a dealer with 80-130k miles on them.
private party is 7-8k if you can even find one.

Each area is different on pricing.

modded one that is clean, low mileage, and doesnt need anything would for sure go for 10k private party...
