235's on stock rims?
235's on stock rims?
I know it has been covered to death, but I am looking for a very particular answer. Has anyone had problems with 235/45/17's on stock rims? Do they have a higher chance of falling off or anything like that? I want thicker tires, but I want to be able to push them without worrying about dying.
Some of the 235/45-17s can be difficult to align on the stock rims without putting some small scratches into the wheel's clear coat (I can't comment on the 2003 models with their different rims.)
I had the Toyo T1S Proxies on the stock rims and they hung on and felt great (they are now on the SSRs).
YMMV

I have 225's on our OEM rims and no problems, now, just don't put 3 500 lbs. women in your car and go hauling ass across the desert in the middle of August, then your asking for a problem that your addressing about "dying"........
