2003 acura cls 6 -need your help
Hello everyone this is my first post on here and i know that there is a lot of valueble information on this site so i was wondering can the experts on here help me out? I found a 2003 cls 6 blk on blk online with navi with only 29k but the only thing is that it has a salvage/rebuilt title. The repair work has been done and the car look great. But i am still on the fence about buying it because reading the other post i keep seeing people say never buy salvage or rebuilt titles. he wants 7500 for it do you think that is a good price? or what would be a good price? your help is greatly appreciated.

if it was repaired right, there's nothing wrong w/ a salvage title. just don't expect to get much for it when you try to sell it. also, i'd check w/ your insurance before buying it b/c some companies will have a lot higher rates for a salvage title.
even though it has low mileage, $7500 is kinda high. i'd offer around $5k tops depending on its condition

dont trust the pictires if you want buy salvage car you gotta see it in person and take a test drive if it goes straight its fine also how does the bodywork lool like ? and tell the guy you want the pictures b4 repair... and try make it 6500. if eveything is ok then buy it and you will njoy the car for a long time...

Also, you will have to title it, so if it is coming from a different state you may have to go through an inspection process. If in state, might not have to deal with that, but something to think about.

man just buy it. my car is salvage with 172,000 miles and everything still works fine. Look at the mileage. Just make sure that where ever it was hit it was repaired correctly and thats about it. its a great price with only 29k on it.

Don't buy it until you take it to a reputable body shop to make sure the work was done correctly because many sellers of salvaged vehicles try to make it seem like the damage was more minor than it was and an experienced body shop can tell you if that was accurate or not. I'm an insurance agent and I have seen many people that don't do the leg work get screwed on these kinds of deals.

forgot to add that the srs and the abs lights are on so should i still go for it or just forget about it. because i was reading about a paper clip method or something of that nature the i heard that could be very expensive to fix. So even if i could talk him down to 6500 with the srs and abs lights on should i just forget about it? and i plan on keeping it for as long as possible i absolutely love these cars.

my SRS light came on once. Acura dealer said my steering wheel airbag was out: $950 repair. SRS is a big deal because its expensive and its the airbags!
not sure why abs light would be on tho...
other than that, i think its great advice to just buy it if its a secondary car or you plan on using it for a long time from now. also verify EVERYTHING before you buy. look at receipts, papers, etc whatever they can show you and see if everything feels right and makes sense regarding accident and repairs.

yea man LIGHTS on dash (especially the ABS and SRS) are a NO NO.. fine and fix the problem first then look to buy car.
ABS modulator is like 1000!!!! and SRS... all those things are expensive.
if I had to guess ur looking at a grand to fix those lights as well.

yea, either the owner gets the lights fixed or no go.
I have a salvage and I love it all the same. Just make sure it drivese good and nothing sounds, looks or feels fishy. ask where it was hit, check the replaced parts and body work including paint.

yes i have the vin and i am located in california... so like i stated before i plan on driving it for a while and with all that i have listed is it a good deal or not? i see other people buying rebuilt or salvage cl's for around 3k to 5k and they have significantly more miles and are in horrible condition so i thought this would be a good deal. but with the srs and abs problem i guess it is not... maybe.....
