2001 cl type s - hum noise when shifting

Has anyone experienced this...or have any suggestions as to the source?

First off, the car has always run well even though it has made this noise...so I suppose I am just curious.

When I start the car, put it in drive, and begin to drive forward, I hear a low humming sound for one-two seconds while I am driving off. The hum sounds like it is coming from the passenger's side of the car and toward the front but underneath the car. Then, as long as I am driving, I never hear it again. Then, I park. When I get back in and drive off, I hear it again. Any ideas? I would think if it were a problem, something would have surfaced by now...I'm just not sure...Thanks for the input.

yeah, the VSA or the ABS calibrating itself. I get one little hum at rolling speed and then another about 7mph. no problem.

is it a high whinning sound? I had the same thing (from a stop). When it was under waranty, Acura replaced the CV Joints, but it came back, now I just live w/ it. yours might be the same thing, if it's still under waranty take it in.

RUPNOK is correct. It is the VSA and ABS self tests. Perfectly normal.

So is it natural to NOT hear it? Maybe I just haven't noticed it. =/
