20 inch rims on CL S

I'm trying to find out if it is possible to put 20 inch rims on a CL S. Some people on this site say it can't be done, others say it can. Does anybody have any pics of 20's on a CL S? If so, please post them.

I realize that some mods may have to be done to the wheel wells and the body of the car, and I am interested to here from all of you.

Thank You!

possible but requires some custom work. and if you are going to do it make sure you buy 2 sets so WHEN you warp the wheels you switch them out...

itsm hard to find the right combo of offset and rim width. You would have to get 35-30 series tires to accomodate the wheel wells. just go with 19". Maybe HRE wheels would be good if your willing to spend the money, they do custom widths and offsets, plus they're forged.

20's would look stupid on a CLS, not to mention the cost factor. Just go with some nice 18's and be happy.

The 20"s would make the CL sit really high! 19"s are the perfect size for the CL....trust me!!!

20s on cl-s can be done

Dog, 20s on cl-s is not dumb. I do not Know where these weirdos from who say these things like that, but im from Philly. 20s on acura's is the shit. Not 17s,18s, or19s, 20s. In philly, we put 20s on anything. Even 21s and 22 inch rims on cars. My man have 21s inch lowenhart LD1 spinners on his 2003 BMW 745i and 22inch Lowenhart spinners on his 95 Chevy Impala. I have a cl-s and I am going to put 20s on mines. It can be done, trust me. About 7 drivers have 20s on their cl and tls. There is a Cheap way and an expensive way. First, you need to find a rim with a high offset(43+ or higher) Do not choose a deep dish rim because they are low offsets. Next, you need to choose a good brand of tires. (I preferd 245/35/20 Bridgestone S-03 Pole Position Potenza) they ride nice. Make sure you get a 245/35/20 tire. Next, don't worry about your front tire, it will not rub. when you accerarate on the gas, the car always lean back so do not worry. But your back tire will. So what you have to do is make your backsprings real stiff. The cheap way (is what alot of people do) is to get an expensive spring adjuster to put on your springs, this will rise hte back of your car just a little bit, it will make your springs stiff so when your accerarate on the gas the car will not rub on the tire. Trust me, it will not affect your ride, but you will have a little stiff ride, thats it. The expensive way is to get air bag suspension but it cost to much to purchase and too much hasle to put in. (not may people do this) The rims I am getting is Alba Blaze. www.superbuytires.com. to see. but i am not buying from internet. Let me know how you make out.

They may have to be really narrow....7-7.5 inches with an offset of atleast +45.

ALSO....you'd have to find a 30 series tire or your speedo will be off by atleast 5 mph. I have 19"s (35 series tires) and its a pretty rough ride....20"s would be worse. I also can't imagine any 20"s being really light, so you'd probably loose some performance too

Man, you can use a 8.5. If you do what i said to do, the fucking tire will not rub the wheelwell. the spring adusters will prevent the car from rubbing the tire. I see it done about 9 times with cls and tls.

It's not much do. The cost is around $750-$1000. maybe less. I going to ask the shop what did they did to my car but give me a couple day because I have to New Jersery to ask him. They are going to put the 20s on my car in the spring time. they specialize on Acuras and Hondas. These boys are sharp. They put 20s on a 2003 honda accord coupe. and it looks good. I get back with you.

They have a 225/30/20 in Japan already, so it should hopefully be hitting the US market eventually. If that happens it'll open up a whole new world for 20's. I don't think 20's cause a problem cause of the larger diameter, they cause a problem cause the narrowest tire you can get as of now is a 245.

Yo, you are fucking right, I agree with you. Do you know the brand of the tires? If the is true, 20s will fit on anything.
