The first is against a last-gen Prelude. Stock I think. We both had 1 passenger and trunks full of camping gear. We did a 40-100mph roll. Raped him so hard, I had to ask if he was even trying. He said yeah. I can't count how many cars I put on him but it was a massacre.

The second race was cooler. I pull up to a red light beside a 1980's Volvo 240. I look over and notice a mint paint job, 50 yr old guy behind the wheel. Stock, but very clean rims, lowered. Then I see a V8 badge on the side. I think to myself, that guy has something done to it... he doesn't exactly fit the ricer profile.

So the light turns green, and I get going while holding 1st gear. He accelerates a little harder and is about half a car ahead of me. I then figure he's going to race. I got WOT, light up 1st gear, shift hard into 2nd, and by that time I'm at his door. He's gone WOT as well. Through 2nd gear, I pull away about 1.5 cars on him, and 1 more through half of 3rd.

We pull over at a gas station, because I was dying to see what he had. My guess was a 5.0 swap... and that's exactly it. A crate 302 motor dropped right into his Volvo. He was setup for road course though, with good suspension... nothing else was done, even had stock 5.0 exhaust!

Well that's all!

 

yeah sounds like a good combo of lightweight car with a big engine.
