1st time driving CL in snow/ice
ok I just came home and its snowing and some ice. My 1st impression,
1st) tires was spinning,TCS flashing, but car didnt move from the parking spot for a second or 2.
2nd) once it got out, my back skidded a little
3rd) doing 55 on highway, can feel the car slidding a little.
4th) cant see out rear window that good, put the defroster on but the snow just sticks to the glass as its melting. I think the angle of the glass might be too much.
overall, my camry was way better in the snow. Guess I need to go get an SUV since my sis keeps taking the RX300.

TSC sux in the snow.
VSA on the other hand, is very nice in the snow. NO problem for me last year. I love. You can even WOT (not a good idea) and the car will adjust the gas and accelerate you accordingly

I have zaino (z2) on my windows, no problems with ice/snow sticking to them.
I had no problems at all in ice/snow driving with my cl-s. Very solid feel, and you can push the car a bit and VSA will help out.
Last year on ice, when the light turned green and traffic started to move forward, the SUV in front of me just went sideways right in the curb with all 4 wheels spinning (very funny to watch). I just hit my gas, VSA light flashing, and I took off straight with no problems.
I also used to have a camry in the family (1995). The CL is just as solid a feel in snow as the camry was, but with VSA the CL is more sure-footed. I also had much less horsies in the camry (v4).
Find an empty parking lot, without light poles, and practice. You will get the feel soon!

i've been using the Castrol version of rain-x and it is pretty effective and less of a pita then rain-x.. also although TCS and VSA will help out, don't get too cocky just take it easy, it's a pain going over 60 in jersey anyway but still..
