1st to 2nd shifting question

Hi all, quick question.
When I do a fast shifting from 1st to 2nd gear during WOT (i did 1st all the way up close to red line before shifting) it seems like it's the 2nd gear is a bit hard to go into. Is this normal?...bad?....will GM Synchromesh helps?...or maybe i shouldn't do this on WOT at 1st?

Any input would be great....thanks

To me, second gear is an easy shift and also a critical shift point to get right. I have found that a little over 5k rpm shift point into second seems about right.

But again, I have no trouble shifting into second gear with my six speed.

I shift at WOT in 1-3 gears when I'm on it.(A lot) Also around 4-5K rpm for nornal driving I have no issues.

yeah, If i shift between 4-5k, it's fine (a little bit more force than usual, but no problem shifting). But it gets harder if i shift to 2nd at around 6900 RPM (it still shift, just a little harder than usual). Maybe i shouldn't do this?...just go directly to 3rd?...
I only do this once in a blue moon....so i was just wondering about this.

i feel the same way on the new 6 speed accord. i can shift very fast every gear except 2nd. it feels tougher to get into it that quick so i do a slower shift to ensure its for sure in gear.
for normal driving though, it feels slightly tougher to get into, but not annoying at all. keep in mind we are probably driving the easiest manuals around, so this is just a little thing we got to get used to.

as long its not a huge difference (from other gears) and no weird noises, you have nothing to worry about.
