I still can't believe you can fit 19s on a CL-S that has a suspension job (since that lowers it like an inch and a half, right?).

Soopa, these big wheels will probably look cool, but they'll increase the overall diameter of the wheel/tire and you'll be slower accelerating as a result. Why do you want to make the car slower?
I recently put 225/45 x 17 Toyo Proxes T1S on my car along with the Comptech springs. The wheel/tire is slightly less in diameter, and I can feel it being a little quicker. I bet with what you're planning, you won't be able to break 7.0 0-60. Is that what you really want?

I'm gonna get these...
Axis Se7en
19 x 8.0
+45 offset.
28lbs in Silver.
Sleeper S already has them on his car in gunmetal gray. He said he had to roll the fenders a bit but he also has his car crazy low.
I dont really car too much about the added weight. The only time I race this car is by myself on the highway. heh.
If it trully slows me down I'll compensate with some headers.
I just hope they fit... I dont wanna roll my fenders.

Hopefully that worked, first time I try posting a pic on here.
They look nice and simple, but that's the look I'm going for, I don't want anything too flashy, but definitely something that doesn't look stock.
Does anyone know how much these weigh in 19"?
I'm also not into racing, so I'm not too worried about the weight, but I wouldn't want to hurt performance that much either.

And how Sleeper S' car dropped that you say it's crazy low? I don't want to roll my fenders or have any tire rub either. Do you know if he has any tire rub even after rolling the fenders?

Soopa,
If money is no object and you can find them, take a look at the Advans Model 5. If you've seen the Yokohama Parada print ad in the mags, that's the wheel. I heard they're around 6-7 bills each but they look really nice.

hey soopa, this is the other adam with the 19's, on 19x8 wheels, the best offset is +51 with the car being lowered. as far as the wheels go, the best combo with absolutely no rubbing is by far 235/35/19. Ive had them on my car for a long time. If you show this weekend to rose bowl, youll see what Im talking about. Oh by the way, when I said lowered, I meant anywhere from 1-1.5 inches.

The stock wheels weight about 24-26 lbs depending whose bathroom scale you believe.
You need to loose about 3-4 lbs (minimum) when going to a 18" wheel, just to not slow the car down (and that calc was done with a number of assumptions).
If you get a 19" wheel in the 28-30 lb range, you will be lucky to break 7 seconds to 60 (just a round number with summer coming), and the equivalent feeling will be like driving with a full-tank and 2 big passengers all the time.
The 8" wheel has another inch of width that needs to get divided-up somehow. So, if the offset stayed at the stock +55, there would be an extra .5" of wheel sticking out and .5" less room between the suspension and the inner wheel.
The lower the offset, the more the wheel sticks out and and will rub against the outer fender when lowered. The higher the offset, the more it will tend to rub against the control arm or strut.
Lower offset --> sticks out
Higher offset --> sits inside (possible suspension rub)
You might want to have a look at "someone" with the setup you want... The normal 8" offsets run about +48 -- you really should have a look first at a LOWERED car, and if you do it at a meet, make sure to have a few people get it and have the driver make a few hard rights and lefts in the car.
Also, look at the sidewalls of the tires -- I promised not to mention their name, but a little birdy said that a number of people who claimed to have "NO RUB EVER", had rub marks on their sidewalls of their lowered rides (17x8, 18x??, etc) with 235 rubber.
Buyer beware -- check out someone's car that looks right and check it out first if you plan on doing some serious lowering...
Once you find something that looks right, load the car up, take some hard turns, and check the sidewalls...
(just an opinion -- what do I know...)

Right, Eric. I so don't believe you can fit 19s on our car if it's lowered at ALL and not have it rub something when turning hard, or just weighed down with 4 people.
I think I will go for 18s if I ever get aftermarket wheels, and hopefully have some performance mods to make up for any loss of performance from bigger wheels (unless the ones I like happen to be lighter).

hmm. thx for the info eric... your comments have me reconsidering.
Especially since you add something like 5lbs per wheel for the chrome on top of those 28lb wheels.
Either way... my biggest concern is rubbing... I cant have that. And from your comments it sounds like I will.
Sleeper... how much rubbing do you have? And how much is your car dropped?

Yea soopa, my biggest concern is rubbing also. I tried to fit my 20s on the car. NOO WAYYY!!! Haha....it would rub like a b*tch. Anyways, Im selling my 20s and as soon as I sell those rims, I want to get 19s but I hope i dont get any rubbing or anything like that. I wonder how much of a drop i can do to the car and get 19s.
The rims i want to get are either the racing hart M6 or Lowenhart BR5.

Nope, the diameter isn't correct. It's 235/35-19 or nothing. Everyone I've seen with 19's are going with Pirelli P7000's.

I should just buy Focal Wheels.
They all come in 7" widths with high offsets. heh
Too bad theyd prolly fall apart in 19" diameters.

OK guys,
I just got done rotating my tires myself. Anyways, while i was at it, i tried to put my 20s to fit on the car. Well it did fit, but my dad checked it out before i can take the jack out of the car and the rims were too far inside. My dad told me that if i take the jack out, the camber might puncture the tires. He also told me that i wont be able to make turns and that the tires might rub against the camber. So, i didnt bother to lower the car because i was afraid of puncturing my tires. By the way, i dont know what offset my rims were, but they were
