105K Mile Service

Does anyone have an idea what the 105K mile service costs? I'll probably end up doing everything myself except for the timing belt, but I thought it would be interesting to find out what the whole kit and kaboodle would run.

Have you put the entire 105,000 miles on the car? Curious to how things have been for you? Transmission and other problems throughout ownership???

I don't think too many people here have crossed that magical 100k mark.

Wow, What year are you driving? What major problems did you run into besides the transmission? I suggest trading it in, cause the CL is not worth keeping if you don't have the warranty on it. Mainly because of all the problems that have been happening, we find new one about every week.

I'm at 102K miles right now. I bitched and screamed for the first 60K miles because I had quite a lot of issues although they were covered under warranty. I also had the transmission replaced at 62K. Since then I haven't one single issue with the car. Well, that's not exactly true - the rear view mirror auto dim feature hasn't worked since 90K but since my windows are tinted it isn't much of an issue. All told, I have spent nothing on the car other than normal maintenance that I have done myself - the Acura service manual is awesome! My plan is to keep her until 200K or until the tranny goes. If the tranny goes again, I'll replace it and run her another 20-30K before dumping her.

I suspect if you have a good relationship with your dealer, they will goodwill part or all of the cost of a new tranny if you're over 100,000 miles.

OUCH!
This seems cheap compared to costs out here in California. Something tells me it would cost 25 - 30% more out here.

Sinnean, I thought the timing belt is usually well over $500 by itself. Your dealer only charges $262 as separate item? That sounds too good to be true.
