as per the original thead, i had posted about maybe making some gun-metal or polished black sill with the type-s logo on them

 

I agree with everyone here...some sort of metal..whether it be a chrome, or a titanium look that would match the area around the shiftgate and the dials on the speedometer/tachometers....or even the gunmetal that has been mentioned...
The MB is sweet ashell....that is the look i am trying to make available for us CL-S and CL-P owners..

Something in the "ACURA" font would be great, whether it just say ....ACURA....or Type S.....

I think this is going to happen......i will give Ron some time to reply to my email....and then get in touch with him in a week to see if there is any progress.....
In the meantime...send him E-mails to show him and his people that we are really interested in this product.

Can't leave out the CL-Ps! Plus, you'll have a greater "market" that way! Nothing to lose! :P I may be interested.

 

I'm in if it's not too expensive. It will depend on the finished product for determining what is too expensive.

 

Anything more than 70$ I THINK is a bit steep for door sills...but then again, like someone said earlier...the CL-Ps will give a bigger market, meaning possibly lower prices

Like everyone has said, metal, Acura font, and something along the lines of the MB ones.

 

woo i got an idea! add the thin lines going horizontally with the sills, add a "grippy" foot thingy effect! that would be nice...actually, we should try one with it and one without it...UNLESS its allll smooth and just an ACURA on it...that woul be nice too! whatever works, just please keep it affordable!:P

I think they absolutely should me in a brushed aluminum or something like that...but not so thin that it dents every time you get in and out the car and knock it with your foot.

 

It'd be cool if RonDog could pull some PhotoShop magic and put some sills on a CL... Just to get an idea...

I'm down for either Type-S or Acura one's. Personally I would prefer Type-S since the word Acura and their logo is splattered everywhere while Type-S is only on the shifter (debadged the car). I also agree that it shouldn't run more then $85 or so......

 

I agree, Type S would be better, my azz is bare too!!!!

 

Let's be practical though.....the ACURA would be better because as someone said...the people with CL-Ps could get them too. I think it might have to be aluminum as other types of metal are a lot harder to bend to make the fits....also the grommets might not hold it in place.

Also, I think a number of pre-orders would probably be required before someone is gonna spend time and materials. Remember, our market is very limited.
