Talking 07 tls auto not that fast

My friend has an 07 tls auto i have an 01 cls (only mod is xs headers and icebox in trunk) Finnaly decided to run it from about a 40 mph roll. I took off in ss mode at about 5k in 2nd gear and pulled so hard i thought he didnt go. I let off the gas a little and he catches up gets about a car and a half in front and stays there up to about 100. Next run i jump ahead of him again from a 40 mph roll and stay 2 cars in front with him barely inching up on me until we hit about 100 (or fourth gear) As soon as my car shifts into fourth he pulls on me and passes. I was proud of my car to keep up with something that new. So all of you modded cls dont worry about the new tls.

Nice runs

The new R&T has the TL-S against the Lex IS350 & G35-S. They show the 1/4 mile time as a 14.5, and that's 6-speed, so it makes sense we'd be able to hang. Damn that 4th gear though!!!

that fourth gear is real weak as soon as it shift whoosh he went right bye like i hit the brakes. I cant wait to see what will happen after the icebox is installed and maybe an ur pulley.

Tru dat. Owning > Leasing

I'm starting to consider getting the UR pulley myself. Never thought I would consider it but everyone on here raves about how it frees up HP.

Angry

it was a good race i pulled on him to like 50 than we were dead even and once we got to like 90 he started to inch closer, but as soon as fourth gear engaged he went right by. At high speeds like that larger displacement will ALMOST always win

Is your friend slow at reacting? lol i think you won cuz he floored the car way after you. LIke you posted b4 that u thought he wasnt even trying. That explains why he flew by you at higher speeds...

I told everyone when I bought my CL that I wasn't going to mod it at all, it was already fast enough. That lasted about a minute. Once I get some extra $$$ I'm going to look into springs/shocks and the pulley. It does seem like a good deal. I'm still not convinced on the TB spacer though.

Problably more realistic. Either way, even if it's only 5HP, it's still worth it... I guess.
