the obvious answer is to go with the same rolling diameter as stock.

It will be YOUR choice if you choose to stretch the tire.

from this calculator:
http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-...5R17/215-45R17

the only one that is closest in rolling diameter to the stock tire is the 225/45/17s

play with the online calculator to find out which tire is the same rolling diameter as your stock tires.

I run 235/45/17's on mine. You're referring to the 17x8's right?

Fitment is not an issue. I'm slammed on Tein SS's and everything clears just fine with rolled fenders. A camber kit is a must if you plan to lower your car though.

I went from 215's (winters) to 235's and the difference was night and day. The car feels planted, the steering is still light.

If you're looking for daily driving tires I'd recommend Goodyears's New Eagle Sport All Seasons (W Speed Rated). For a W speed rated tire they have amazing tread-wear, and an amazing warranty. Check them out on tire-rack, make sure you're looking at the W-Speed Rated ones.

I got mine mounted and balanced w/ included premium warranty (punctures, excessive wear, etc.) at Sam's Club for $500 out the door.

You'll love the TL wheels. You get OEM Quality with more meat than the CL-S Wheels came with. Cheers!

I would not use 04-06 base TL rims, they are easily bent

No, I am not... you hit a good pothole with one and it's going to bend... they may be made by the same company but one isn't as strong as the other...

You see years ago when I was researching putting on RL calipers, I had to find rims that would clear them and the 04 TL rims were at the top of the list. I talked to multiple people whom have 04-07 TL and they ALL had bent rims from the roads around here. Talked to my dealer and more than 1 person confirmed that those rims are not as strong as the previous gen's type S rims... the dealer stated that they were surprised by the number of rims that they had to replace on those cars... and they referred to them as being made out of Jell-O.
