yep the PiAA 1157 extreme whites....they look much brighter in person. Thanks for telling me to get the tails I love them

 

Nice. What bulbs are you using in the turns? That's my next mod after my exhaust. I want to get same brand so turns and reverse match....not that i'll be using them at the SAME time...

he's talking bout the '03 tails he swapped in his '02

he's using the PIAA 19228's (1157-type bulb) for the turn signals instead of the amber bulbs...i should note that for the turn signals, u can use either the 1156 or 1157 type bulbs, BUT keep in mind the turn signal requires a single filament bulb, and the 1157 bulb is a dual filament...it's no harm to use a dual filament bulb, but the second filament won't b used at all, so if that means u can save a few bucks getting a single filament 1156 bulb, then get the 1156

the only places where u really need dual filament is for the front top side marker/turn signal (1157 type bulb) and the rear parking/brake light (7443 type bulb)

 

the rear sockets are for 1157, not sure why though. 1157's cost more too

 

1156 will work...they're the same size and shape...one's single filament, the other's dual

and on www.optauto.com they're the same price

looks like something's growing there lol...but actually, it's the black foam pad that protects from moisture hitting the circuitry, so i had to do some scraping before i installed

 

no problems...no blown bulbs...i disconnected/reconnected the relays FIRST before disconnecting/reconnecting the other bulbs

 

nice and clean install looks so much better

 

they look the best on red

 

hmm. .on black cars the red rear lights or the white/reds look damn good. :wackit:
