Wow, these E46 M3 kills are getting better and better. Everyone should start selling their Mustang GT for $54K to those idiots on the waiting list of the new M3s!!! After reading this story, it gives me confindance that my RAV-4 can hang with a Viper and put 5 car length on a ZO6!!! My Rav-4 has awd for better ltake offs and a TRD sticker that adds 800 hp.

read the story again...it wasn't a full 1/4, I have years of drag racing experience, my car isn't stock and we've established that the convertible M3 is not as quick as the hardtop. Besides, this post is rather old, so were the arguements.


If it'll make you feel any better, I got raped by an '01 (?) C32...silver with tinted windows...

 

My friend with his C32 raced a stick shift E46 M3 Convertable driven by a dealer sale rep. Anyway, both cars were dead even up to 90 mph from a stop. Your Mustang is fast (1/4 around 14.2 stock). At least fast enough to kick stock CL-S around, but M3s and C32s are different animals. Think Supra TTs, 3000GTs and C5 Corvettes.

Raced C32: When you said "raped" how many cars and to what speed?

 

I have to say maybe a 50 mph roll...I stopped counting cars after 5, lol..he just kept going and going...

I got no problem believing that they were even...

My car isn't plain ol stock...it's just not crazy modified. bad driver vs. good driver...he is only about .5 faster if he knew how to drive, he blew that when he spun off the line.
I have Drag Radials and I'm sure that if we rolled anymore than the 500-600 ft that we ran, he woulda caught me. It was just fun knowing that I could hold my own for that long...yanno?
