Dirty Type-S

so my buddy has a Pontiac GTP supercharged, and ive always wanted to see what his car had.. so last night after we all went to see Blades Of glory, we decided to have a little run... from the theatre to our main road there is 2 roadds... ther is Father hurley and crystal rock (for those of you that are montgomery county native know taht crystal rock is cop central..) so we take it easy down crystal rock and turn onto father hurley, and at bout 30 he just yells go and stomps on it... so he gets the jump and head start, i didnt even bother throwing it into SS or taking TCS off.... at bout 3rd gear, and of course the all lovely VTAK kicks in, and i slowly WALK IT OUT.. on my good buddy....

i have K&N drop in filter and tahts it rightnow... my headers and pulley are still in boxes.

soo all in all, im basically stock 2003 At CL- S and walked it out on a 2002 GTP.

My parents have had Grand Prix's for the last 6 years and when I first started driving they were the fastest car in the world to me. But they are no match for CL's, unless they're modded. Nice kill

My parents had one too and I know what you're saying, it seemed pretty fast to me back in the day, but a new V8 GTP takes us out unless we're modded.

lol, they're not that bad, they just need to start making cars other than the GTO in a manual.

Super, you must be talking about the GXP V8, I haven't had a chance to run one yet. Pontiac's gearing has never been the greatest past the torque off the line but it would be a fun race for a stock CL 6spd.

Yo Bro, the CL-S doesn't have TCS, it has VSA??? And I am curious what VTAK is, is that a modified version of VTECH or VTEC.

Good kill, but a stock CL-S will usually have problems with a GTP from a dig, but from a roll you should get him.

Ahh my fiance has a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP which we just purchased about 3 weeks ago. I drove it and was impressed with not only the power it had but also with all the option it had. The leather seats to me feel better then the one in my TL =\. ANYWAY, back to the subject.....One night after meeting her for dinner we took off from about a 30 roll and i pulled on her. She was right there at the rear of my car. I have a feeling that she didnt get a good start though but i'll let you know when we go at it again.

Watch out for the modded GTP'S , Impala/ Monte Carlo SS SC's and Regal GS's. The supercharged 3800 responds well to mods. Especially when the SC pulley is changed along with larger injectors. There is one around here running low 13's barely modded.
