Yep... It's getting cooler... On April 6 with temp in 40s and clear skies... I hit 14.6s at 96MPh with just CAI and Sparkplugs... Now, I have, UR Ultra SS Pulleys kit and OBX headers...
How much, I will be hitting in similar conditions?
Next opportunity is First Fall Import Wars at NED: http://www.newenglanddragway.com/sch.../10_2002.shtml

When you ran your car, how did you run it, can you give me some details to get the best time? Thanks.
Best I got was 15.2 at 92 mph stock. Kinda sucked on the 60ft because I spun.

The 215/50R 17 inch Michelin MXM4 tires also help with superb grip, and on switchback roads there's just enough body roll to keep the cars side to side transitions from feeling harsh
This has to be a mistake

I hit 14.1 @ 98 but with very low tire pressure (headers only). I am doing a few more tweaks and should hit that elusive 13sec E.T
next time.... hopefullly!

I saw how you had your tires setup, but how did you launch?
In D3,D5,SS,GAted? VSA off of course, but did you powerbrake it or just step on it when th elight whet green? I need more details! :P

What track was this at?
At Carlsbad Raceway (about 20 mins north of San Diego). If the V8's are running, they leave some nice rubber behind!
I'd prefer to run at Pomona... but they very infrequently open up
for weekend grudge runs. Palmdale is a no-no because of the altitude!

Prep: No spare tires, no jack, everything I can remove from the car has been removed including heavy floor rubber mats. I was running on the redlight...I figure 1 Gal would good for 15 miles or more than 30 1/4 miles passes..... luckily the weight station was open I wieghted my CLS with driver at around 3630 lbs and I do weight ~200 lbs.
1) All are in 1-2-D3... ( gate shifting is the best as you can hold 1-2 up to 7000 rpm)
2) VSA is off
3) quick spin to heat up the tires a bit (not over the water box)
4) BT to 2000 rpm
5) At the third light you gas it but not floor it and release the brake foot.... once rolling floor and shift at 7000 rpms.
Enjoy the ride... If you hit the rev limiter do not worry it is just fine...
Good luck.

You can quote me on that one

It's not fast... just quick b/c of torque
True
You are very correct:
"all the diferent car ppl have diff drivers, and some cannot drive as well as other, and some are not willing to :abuse" the car to get better times." :abuse: <-- typo!
I went through 2 motors to get my Civic from 12.5 to 11.9 - all ego-related, I must say!
Subsequently, I never took my NSX to the track in fear of it breaking. I think I am inclined to push the CL within decent limits!
