ok, so there's this kid i know..kind of a tool.. said oh, the "glorified honda" referring to my car, "that's why i got a bmw, it's not a glorified anything" anyway... says his m3 is a 99, someone else said it's a 97. we're both stock.. am i an idiot for thinking it's a drivers race? he said he didn't even want to waste his time. i don't think he knows how to drive. a few people have said, do you really think your car can keep up with that. let me know what you folks think

 

Well, I had an auto CL-S with exhaust and intake with 3 people in the car and got walked, maybe by 3-4 cars by 100 (starting at 40). They run 14.0, maybe lower depending on mod/driver so it depends on your mods but I don't think it's not a "waste of his time" you'll definitely put up a nice fight.

no, the e36's really are not beasts. The e46 330 was engineered to run with the e36 M3 (just as the e92 335 was engineered to run with the e46 m3). Our cars were built to compete with the e46 330. It should be a good match. Do it already and let us know!

i thought those m3's only had 240 compared to the CL6's 260 HP although its probably lighter. What about the M3 makes it any more than a drivers race?

wel with my I/E/P i walked my friends E46 330Xi he has Intake and h&r springs.

 

to me its the powerplant and the styling that makes the car what it is. our j32 engines have come a long way since the o.g. acura legend days. just wish honda would stop putting their damn parts in our cars!!

i was actually going to take a look at an '03 accord six speed than thought better of that idea.

noodle, you should be able to take that m3, if its an auto..... not too sure if how well our six speeds will do against their manuals and lighter weight.

There are so many variables that come in to play, that this really is a driver's race.

I've not lost to the older M3s or 330s . . yet. I do have a comtech intake and some cooling mods, but no headers or pullies. If you know how to gate shift . . well, you stand a good chance of beating him. It should be close either way.

if you got good traction you should win. if your tires won't stick he'll eek out a win. if he has an expensive euro spec m3 engine in it you'll get smoked or if he is FI.

i meant no offense to the accord six speeders out there. peer pressure was also a factor in my choice of the cl-6.
