Thanks SickCL,
Not applicable to me, but very interesting anyway.
If I may ask, where did you get this??? It would be cool to see others in this format.

There's probably an easier way to do it than that though. My way seems a little too roundabout.

This is not a recall, it's a product update notice. Why not call it what it really is instead of a recall since a recall is somewhat derogatory and inflamatory?

Totally and completely not true.

Recall or not ... this is a warranty work that would performed at no cost and the affected cars owners are notified.
If you would like to call a recall for only a "product update for a safety reason" then that is fine... more or less it is the same.

But there is a difference.
In who pays for the work: dealer, customer, Acura
In who must be notified: by mail, on the news, or wait until customer comes back for next service maintenance.
A car's review can be tainted by multiple recalls but not by multiple service bulletins. No wonder Honda wants to hide it's service bulletins from consumers. I would hide them too if every time a consumer saw a "service bulletin" they felt it was a recall and they were compelled to come in to have the work done.
There are actually a fair amount of people who are unfamiliar with the manufacturing process who will swear the work is required on their car if it was done on their neighbor's car (with a different VIN range) just because they are the same cars.
Leads to mistrust of the manufacturer...loss of credibility....people spreading bad information.
