03 to 01 CLS conversion, I got it backwards I guess
I didn't really plan it but I find myself slowly turning my 03 into an 01. First I got rid of the 03 CLS rims and put on the 01-02 CL/TLS rims. Then I put on the 01 roadlamps. Now I'm thinking of doing 01 taillights on my 03. On the darker colors I think I prefer the all red tails, and with the 03 only anthracite I'd probably have the only one like it.
And no, I'm not wanting to sell the 03 tails
but I might buy any 01-02 tails somebody wants to sell!
It's weird cause most people try to make the 01 look like an 03.

You didn't like the tinted 03 tails. Some one here tinted the clear part and it is the same color as the anthracite ride. Looks damn good imho! I do agree that there are some colors that need the all red tails (esp. black).

You guys think that an all black CLS looks better with the all red tails??? I was actually thinking of getting the 03's put on mine...

I'm undecided, but generally on black the all red tails look good to me. I think the 01 tails on anthracite would be interesting, would definite be unique as anthracite was only offered on the 03 (CLS).
I took the tint off my 03 clear tail because I had the darkest tint and I think the lighter tint is what you have seen. Also the darker tint has a brown tint to it I didn't like. I may reorder some lighter tint.
