What's the difference btw 01 and 02 CL-S?

 

I think the taillights(02 half clear, half red; 01 all red), side mirrors (02 tinted blue; 01 no tint), and the moonroof glass being a little thicker on the 02 are the only differences.

 

Nah the half clear/red tails came only on the 03 models. The side mirrors are smaller in the 02's then the 01 models. I believe the blueish tint on the mirrors didn't arrive until 03 either. However i could be wrong about that one.

Other then that they are very similar.

 

I'm sure those small cosmetic things are not the only differences between the models. That's like people saying there's no differences between windows 2000 and windows xp. Trust me, there's differences besides the obvious cosmetic ones. I'd be interested to know what they are for the 01 cls and 02 cls.

 

the 01 is faster than the 02, and the 03 for that matter.

 

Oh yeah 2002 got the "upgraded" cup holders too.

The differences between the 01 models and 02 models are basically cosmetic.

Heck even the differences between the 01 and 03 models are cosmetic. With the exception being that the 6-speed was offered for that year.

its the same car, just with a few tiny little cosmetic changes...cupholders, mirrors.

Consumer reports doens't rate the tranny issue as poorly in the 02 CL as they do in the 03 and 01. Who knows. That's part of the reason why I searched for an 02. It still says there's an issue but reliabilty was rated higher than 01 or 03 based on feedback.

In '02 they changed the side mirrors, they are smaller to prevent wind noise and the glass is tinted blue.

The cup holders are different. The '02s are much deeper.

I don't know about the sunroof glass business though.

Geez, you noobs need to do your Acura CL homework. It's the same damn engine lol, nothing in the engine/tranny/cooling/exhaust are any different than 01. EVERYTHING between the 01-02 model years was STRICTLY Costemic.

hmm since the 02+ have smaller side mirrors does this mean their more aerodynmiac, hence faster then the 01?
