01 CLS Mesh Grill Variation...Can it be done?

Hey guys, I wanted to do a mesh grill to my 01 CLS, but i didn't want to cover up OEM grill "bars". I think that putting the gril BEHIND the original bars will look better than covering it. I haven't figured out how to do it. If you have any ideas or have done it, post some pics and some instructions. Thanks!

Heres the bars im talking about.

I did mine with black zip ties and put them near the top of the mesh grill, because if u get down there and look, there are like little hole loops things you can put the zip ties through, and i put a couple around the bars, but they are black and not one person has noticed yet sooo

The emblem is a piece of .019" painted aluminum backround (white) with the emblem hand painted red and baked enamel in an oven.
The aluminum is painted white and is available from amy window installer. It is the trim coil used for bending siding and window trim.
