01-03 CL Sunvisor's..do yours work 100%?
Hi all-
I have a 03 cl-s and the sunvisors do not like to stay put when i position them to block sun from the side. I do not mean they dont stay when i take a corner at 60 or whatever, they move at moddest speeds around turns and corners... just normal easy driving... does anyone else have this "issue" if so, what do you think my chances are of the dealer fixing this under warranty?

I have always had this problem.
Even turning at only 10 mph on a gradual turn.
Damn thing has hit me in the head a few times, when I lean forward to block the solar glare well turning...

Never bothered with it, but general physics sugest that there should be some form of tensioner inside of there that Acura never bothered with...
Probably to make the movement of it easier...
If you take it off, you may be able to put a spring around the bar that mounts the visor.
What I mean by that is remove the visor and put a spring around the bar so that when you replace the visor, the spring will be compressed between the plastic retainer and the mounting point on the roof...
Maybe I'll try this and post a DYI sometime...

I have sun glasses.. problem is i paid for a car that should be able to block sun light with its visors...
as far as the spring trick, i know what your talking about, i've had a few visors taken apart in my day to get to sun roof motors etc.... But I still have a warranty so i am not tinkering with it until i get brushed off by the dealer...

my visors do this as well on sharper corners, but it was more just a nuisance rather than a major issue for me
also i put one of those sun visor cd holders on there and it made it to the point where the movement is hardly noticable anymore

DIY: Loose Sun Visors
1. Locate 2 screws on the visor mount and remove them
2. After removing the screws, you'll have to take the whole thing out with the cable connector (flip the visor down, then up but this time, not changing the angle on the mount, pull back towards you and then wiggle the connector out)
3. Seems that the spring Acura put in loses tension after a while
4. Put something (i used half of a washer for each side) in between the spring and the top plate (top plate moves with the washer, unlike the bottom that moves against it)
5. Put everything back, and enjoy driving without the visor hitting you in the head
